The Campaign

Competence over Chaos

Progressive Politics Predictably Produces Chaos.
It’s a feature not a bug.

The 2022-2026 OCDSB term was plagued with enough drama, board-member bullying, and costly code of conduct complaints to repeatedly make national news.

It’s the same story at boards across the province: Progressives Produce Chaos.

The last Zone 10 Trustee, appointed by a progressive-dominated board, was re-elected only to abandon her constituents. She literally phoned it in from Mexico until the board was suspended by the Ministry of Education in 2025 for mismanagement.

Shannon is a clear, professional alternative for voters in Ottawaโ€™s OCDSB Zone 10 – Somerset who want practical decision-making centered on student outcomes, not selfish dramas.

What Shannon stands for

The campaign focuses on three connected priorities that speak to what local families expect from school board leadership.

Priority One

Achievement over Progressive Activism

The Role of Public Education is to produce well-adjusted, resilient, confident people prepared for the challenges of the future.

Student-first decisions

Proven Methods

Safe learning environments

Priority Two

Canadian Principles

We are a nation carved out of a vast wilderness over centuries by brave resilient people from around the world.

The waves-upon-waves of newcomers who make up our nation often came here fleeing hardships, wars, famines, oppression, and violence.

While not perfect, our country welcomes those who want to live in peace, to work hard, and to build a new life free from foreign conflict, strife and animosity.

End US race politics in PD and in classrooms (We’re not the 51st State!)

Leave the foreign wars at the doors

Foster the Canadian Spirit of Self-Reliance and Co-existence

Priority Three

A Board by Example

Our School Board Trustees should be a positive example to the community and to the student body. We must demonstrate how adults handle difficult discussions and decisions with dialogue.

Shannon will represent Somerset with professionalism, respect, and a commitment constructive adult behavior with a small caveat: Sometimes true leadership will require the constitution and no BS fortitude that Canadian Farmers, Fishers, and Forestry workers are known for.

Respectful Dialogue

Firm Boundaries

Principled Professional conduct

Why he is running

Leadership that reflects the community

Representing OCDSB Zone 10 – Somerset means understanding the expectations of a diverse Ottawa community and advocating with clarity. Shannonโ€™s message is designed to reassure voters that serious leadership is possible and that the board can model the standards it asks of schools.

Competence over chaos means putting students first, leading responsibly, and earning the confidence of the community every day.
