The waves-upon-waves of newcomers who make up our nation often came here fleeing hardships, wars, famines, oppression, and violence.
While not perfect, our country welcomes those who want to live in peace, to work hard, and to build a new life free from foreign conflict, strife and animosity.

A Board by Example
Our School Board Trustees should be a positive example to the community and to the student body. We must demonstrate how adults handle difficult discussions and decisions with dialogue.
Shannon will represent Somerset with professionalism, respect, and a commitment constructive adult behavior with a small caveat: Sometimes true leadership will require the constitution and no BS fortitude that Canadian Farmers, Fishers, and Forestry workers are known for.

2022-2026 activist OCDSB trustees embarrassed our city nationally and internationally. They lost the trust of thousands of parents and of the Minister of Education and were ultimately suspended from school.
The last Somerset (Zone 10) Trustee appointed in 2020 and was re-elected in 2022. She abused the trust of voters by phoning it in from Mexico while the board looked the other way.
The progressive-dominated board, perpetually plagued by petty drama, failed our community. Ottawa Public Schools need fresh leadership at the Board.
Shannon is a clear, professional alternative for voters in Ottawa’s OCDSB Zone 10 – Somerset who want practical decision-making centered on student outcomes, not selfish dramas.
